Wooden bud vases with test tube insert

Test tubes with a “blooming” good use!

Gorgeous bud vases for flower stems.  Using glass tubes as an insert means that the wooden vases can be used with water for fresh flowers.  The idea would work just as well for displaying artificial flowers too.

Retired hobby wood turner, Paul, has created these stunning bun vases using one of our range of glass test tubes as an insert.  Glass tubes such as GL100C with a rounded bottom or GL50 with a flat bottom are just two examples of our current product range that may be useful for similar projects.

Alternatively, for inclusion in floral displays, florists and other customers purchase from our range of plastic products – it’s personal preference whether plastic or glass is preferred.  Our link here explains the differences between our polystyrene, polyethylene and polypropylene products.

With a wide range of uses and an equally wide range of uses, please put the search facility on our website to the test.

Please view the image below, a pair of bud vases made from beautiful ash.  Other woods can be used too – the turning process certainly shows the beauty of wood as a natural product.  The vases shown in the image have been made from 2X2 spindle blanks and 13cm tall.  The tops of the test tubes can be seen just protruding from the top of the vase – hardly noticeable when filled with blooms.  Our thanks to Paul for sharing his story with us.
