Deltaklean surface control Ecoli Swab with culture medium and growth indicator for the detection of Salmonella spp. directly from surfaces. The medium includes a pH indicator to indicate biological activity. Culture medium incorporates a pH indicator to indicate biological activity, by changing the color of the medium that is easily visible. With 2,5 ± 2ml agar.
Shelf life 6 months. Storage 10-25ºC. Composition: differential medium. Peel-packed.
The presence of pathogenic microorganisms in controlled environments in manufacturing facilities can be detrimental to the end product, consumer, and the company. Bacteria, yeast, and mold are found everywhere in our environment. DeltaKlean is a variant of the swab sampling method since they combine swab testing with the specific culture medium that gives us an idea of the presence or absence of the target microorganism.

Technique:

1. Remove the sterile Ecoli swab from inside the bag.
2. Wet the tip of the swab by immersing it in sterile physiological solution.
3. Drain excess liquid by resting the tip of the swab against the wall of the tube.
4. Rub the swab on a surface (10 x 10 cm2) horizontally and vertically.
5. Introduce the surface control swab into the tube containing the culture medium.
6. Close the tube and write the date and place of sampling.
7. Incubate at 37°C for 18-24 hours.
8. Observe the change in color of the medium and interpret the result:
• Yellow media: Absence of E.coli-coliforms
• Green media: Presence of coliforms
• Fluorescence media: Presence of E.coli

Each laboratory must evaluate the results according to their specifications.
